How to cancel Claude
Free step-by-step cancellation guide
- Sign in to your Claude account on the web (claude.ai) or open the Claude Desktop app.
- Click your initials or name in the lower left corner and select "Settings".
- Navigate to Settings > Billing.
- Click the "Cancel" button next to your subscription.
- Confirm the cancellation.
- To avoid being charged for the next period, cancel at least 24 hours before your next billing date.
- If your bank statement shows Apple or Google rather than Claude, the subscription was bought in an app store, and cancelling on the Claude website will not stop it.
- Cancel it in the store instead. On an iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, tap the subscription, then Cancel Subscription. On Android, open the Play Store, go to Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions, select the subscription and tap Cancel subscription.
- Deleting the app does not cancel a store-billed subscription.
- Your paid plan keeps working until the end of the billing period you have already paid for.
